About the Business Analyst role

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the enterprise digital transformation roadmap and ensuring alignment with Whole-of-Government (WOG) directions and strategic priorities. The role involves facilitating business cases, value hypotheses, and portfolio tracking while monitoring OKRs, value realisation, adoption, budgets, and resource inputs. The Business Analyst will also assess emerging technologies and industry practices, translating them into practical opportunities for the organisation. Working closely with Business Stack Owners, client teams, strategic partners, and senior management, the role supports executive decision-making through dashboards, steering materials, options papers, and clear business-centric recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap ownership. Maintain and refine the enterprise digital transformation roadmap, keeping it aligned with Whole-of-Government (WOG) directions and stack priorities
  • Business case facilitation. Facilitate business cases and value hypotheses together with Business Stack Owners, client teams and strategic partners
  • Value & portfolio tracking. Track OKRs, value realization, adoption, budget and resource inputs, and identify duplication risks across stacks
  • Technology scanning. Scan emerging technology and best practices, and translate them into practical, prioritized opportunities for Client
  • Executive enablement. Prepare steering forum materials, dashboards, options papers and follow-through actions for business-technology management

Requirements:

  • Business Analyst profile with 3–5 years experience in a digital transformation environment or equivalent enterprise setting
  • Good understanding of business processes, IT delivery models, infrastructure and data ecosystems
  • Able to translate technology constraints into clear, business-centric recommendations for senior management
  • Structured, user-centric problem solver with strong data analysis, benefits tracking and dashboarding capability
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and executive communication skills
  • Background in finance or business analytics preferred; change-management experience an added advantage
