Business Consultant

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Functional Consultant who will act as the bridge between business users and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging directly with customers to gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for application development projects.

This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Candidates should be comfortable working across APAC, Europe, and US project cycles when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage directly with business users, customers, and stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops, interviews, and discussions with customers
• Analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements
• Prepare Business Requirement Doc
• uments (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, process flows, and related project documentation
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), requirement clarification, and solution validation activities
• Provide functional consulting and application support when required
• Participate in project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders
• Ensure delivered solutions align with business objectives and customer expectations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Business Consultant
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles involving:
  • Requirements gathering
  • Business analysis
  • User requirement documentation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Functional consulting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in application development environments
• Candidates with exposure to the following technologies will have an advantage:
  • C#
  • .NET Framework / .NET Applications
  • Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL)
  • Crystal Reports
  • Jasper Reports

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience supporting enterprise applications
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders
