About the QA Manual Tester role
The QA Manual Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through structured testing, defect identification, and validation of business requirements. Working closely with developers, business analysts, and end users, this role prepares and executes test plans, analyses results, and supports user acceptance testing to ensure applications meet functional and quality standards. The QA Manual Tester also contributes to continuous improvement by supporting test automation and promoting efficient testing practices across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare test cases/test artefacts taking guidance from the functional specifications or user story
- Prepare Requirement Tracability Matrix
- Prepare test data using tools such as SQL scripts
- Execute both manual and automaed test scripts
- Analyse test results to predict user behaviour, identify bugs and suggest solutions to minimise problems
- Document and produce daily test report
- Coordinate and liaise with Business Analysts and Developers
- Assist business users in performing User Acceptance Test
- Execute automation test cases
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1 year of experience in software testing
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc) and automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, etc)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
