About the Senior Software Engineer role

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, alongside responsive web applications with Angular and TypeScript. The role involves building RESTful APIs, managing SQL/NoSQL databases, implementing messaging and event-driven systems, and contributing to CI/CD, cloud, and containerized deployments. The engineer will also support performance tuning, observability, Agile technical planning, and architecture discussions while mentoring junior developers, adopting AI-assisted development tools, and taking ownership of complex technical areas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot
  • Build rich, modular, responsive web applications using Angular & TypeScript
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, optimize queries, and manage data integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile teams with exposure to leadership or mentorship
  • Working knowledge of asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, ELK stack
  • Performance tuning skills across API, database, and front-end layers
  • Experience using modern engineering AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code assistants)
  • Exposure to agentic AI concepts (LLM-based automation, n8n, RAG frameworks) is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and work with event/messaging systems
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud environments
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, architecture discussions, and technical planning
  • Mentor junior developers and help uplift coding practices and code quality in the team
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and technical outcomes
  • Take ownership of complex technical areas without handholding
