About the Senior Technical Consultant role
The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for managing the end-to-end document extraction lifecycle, from onboarding and configuration to UAT and production support. This role analyses requirements for data extraction across various document types, ensures accuracy through validation frameworks, and performs root cause analysis to resolve issues related to prompts, data quality, or system integrations. Working closely with business, IT, and vendor stakeholders, the consultant supports system integration, manages testing and deployment processes, and maintains operational standards through defined workflows, runbooks, and continuous improvement of extraction solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end document extraction lifecycle, from onboarding and configuration through UAT to production support
- Conduct requirement analysis for field-level data extraction across various document types (e.g., invoices, booking documents, customs forms)
- Perform issue triage and root cause analysis, identifying whether issues stem from prompts, data quality, or system/integration gaps
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Business, Vendors, IT) to ensure smooth onboarding and maintain production stability
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including issue tracking, validation, and ensuring extraction accuracy meets defined standards
- Define and maintain processes, including onboarding playbooks, validation frameworks, and support runbooks
- Handle country- or customer-specific variations (e.g., NL / Medtronic scenarios) while aligning with global solutions
Requirements:
- Strong experience in prompt engineering for structured data extraction, including field-level accuracy, precedence logic, and handling edge cases
- Proficiency in JSON/schema validation and structured output analysis
- Solid understanding of system integrations, including APIs, Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), and downstream systems (e.g., CargoWise)
- Experience in configuration and version management of extraction logic across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments
- Ability to debug extraction issues using logs, outputs, and test datasets
