About the Production Support & Test Management Specialist role
The Production Support & Test Management Specialist will support and maintain Java-based applications across non-production and production environments, ensuring system availability, stability, and reliable operations. The role involves providing Level 2 and Level 3 production support, monitoring systems, investigating incidents, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating issue resolution with development, infrastructure, database, and other technical teams. The specialist will also plan and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and production validation testing, manage test cases and reports, support deployments across Test, UAT, and Production environments, and verify defect fixes. The role will contribute to improving testing processes, coverage, and automation while supporting effective release validation and application quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and support containerized Java/Spring Boot services across non-production and production environments using OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Provide L2/L3 production support for applications and services, ensuring system availability, stability, and reliability
- Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including on-call and shift support
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and other technical teams to investigate and resolve production issues
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and production validation testing
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test data, and test execution reports
- Support application deployments across Test, UAT, and Production environments
- Perform defect identification, troubleshooting, and verification of fixes
- Support release validation and ensure applications meet quality and operational requirements before deployment
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, testing processes, and automation
