About the WMS Support role

The WMS Support provides day-to-day support and maintenance for warehouse management systems and related applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability. This role monitors and troubleshoots issues in Unix/Linux environments, develops and maintains shell scripts for automation, and manages deployments using tools such as GitLab and JFrog. The engineer also works with databases like Oracle SQL and MySQL to analyse and optimise queries, collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, and uses monitoring tools like Zabbix to proactively manage system health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business-As-Usual (BAU) support for WMS applications and related systems
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application/system issues in a timely manner
  • Perform system support and maintenance in Unix/Linux environments
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency
  • Monitor system performance using tools such as Zabbix
  • Manage code repositories and deployments via GitLab and JFrog
  • Write, analyse, and optimise database queries using Oracle SQL and MySQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in application/system support
  • Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux commands and Shell scripting
  • Proficient in Oracle SQL and MySQL query language
  • Familiarity with GitLabJFrog, and Zabbix monitoring tools
  • Good understanding of system monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Skills include Unix/Linux operating systems, shell scripting, Oracle SQL and MySQL databases, and tools such as GitLab, JFrog, and Zabbix
