User Experience (UX) is advancing everyday and seems to not be slowing down anytime soon. With the constant exposure to news on television, social media, and ads in person, it may be difficult to follow the advancements in UX unless you follow it diligently. Well here are three ways UX is advancing in 2019 and what people can expect to see in the near future!
- Voice-User interfaces
This is not new technology since consumers have been exposed to this type of UX through popular mean such as siri and google home. But expect this voice command feature to get better and stronger in use as the year continues. It is getting more accurate and slowly but surely integrating itself to our daily lives. Don’t think this is going anywhere, it is here to stay.
- Augmented Reality
Shopping with technology has made life more easy and has given the customer a unique shopping experience with the tip of their fingers. However, there are still limitations on what a phone can help a customer. Well Augmented Reality is a newer feature being worked on by companies to give their customers a unique user experience. Take Walmart as an example, their app has recently launched an AR scanner that does more than a traditional price scanner. Instead of checking the price of the item, Walmart’s new feature scans an item at a Walmart store and compare the price of the product to many other stores while also including reviews of that same product. This is just one example of how augmented reality is making its way to our lives and making a user’s experience shopping even better.
- Video Content
Watching videos is nothing new, and we as humans have watching something on a personal screen has been quite common since the personal TV became accessible in the 1920s. However, companies have realized that video content is one of the best ways to capture and enhance a user’s experience. If you have notices many companies now have more video content on their websites, it is not just a coincidence but a trend that seems to be growing in the year 2019.
These were just three of many new and innovative ways companies are attempting to advance a user’s experience. There are more to come and this is only the beginning for UX. There is money being invested in the user experience and the advancements are quickly rising.
