About the UX Designer role
The UX Designer leads strategic design initiatives that align digital products and programmes with organisational goals. This role plans and conducts discovery and user research activities, translates insights into actionable design decisions, and leads the creation of wireframes, user flows, and prototypes. Working closely with product managers, developers, marketing teams, and senior stakeholders, the UX Designer drives iterative design improvements through testing and feedback, ensuring solutions are user-centred, strategically sound, and technically feasible. With a strong research foundation and design leadership, the role advocates for user needs while guiding teams toward impactful, high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strategic outlook on the product/program, ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with the organizational goals and strategy
- Lead efforts in driving strategic design initiatives that drive organization goals forward
- Coordinate and plan discovery work, including user interviews, workshops, surveys, usability testing, and gathering insights to understand user needs and pain points
- Lead the work to analyze research findings into actionable insights
- Lead work to create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes using tools like Figma
- Lead the work with design teams to create low- and high-fidelity prototypes for testing concepts with real users, gathering feedback to iterate on solutions
- Drive the Iterative efforts to improve on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and the design team
- Partner with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure that the designs are aligned with business objectives and technical constraints
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Design Research or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 8 years of experience in UX/UI design
- Good with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, or similar
- Strategic thinker and a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives in your work
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and leadership
- Good understanding of user research methods and the ability to analyse data to inform design decisions
- Familiarity with usability testing and gathering feedback to improve design quality
- Good communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively
- Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity
- Strong empathy for users and a desire to advocate for their needs
