About the Fullstack Engineer role
The Fullstack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive web applications, backend services, APIs, and microservices that support enterprise business functions and data processing. Working closely with UI/UX designers, business users, and technical teams, this role translates requirements into scalable software solutions, develops and integrates RESTful APIs, applies secure and accessible engineering practices, and supports the full Agile delivery lifecycle from development and testing through deployment and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and user interfaces for the platform
- Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features
- Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
- Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
- Implement secure coding practices and comply with client security requirements
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability
- Work closely with UI/UX designers and business users to improve application usability and user experience
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Support application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver solutions and support knowledge sharing across the project team
Requirements:
- Experience in fullstack application development and building enterprise-grade web applications
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as:
- ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalent frameworks
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Strong proficiency in backend development using:
- Node.js, Python, or Java Spring Boot
- Experience implementing frontend best practices including:
- Responsive design
- Accessibility
- Performance optimisation
- Component-based architectures
- State management
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, API integration, and microservices architecture
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with familiarity in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
