About the Low Code Engineer (Automation)

The Low Code Engineer designs, builds, and deploys applications using low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Apps and Power Automate. The role involves analysing business processes, identifying automation opportunities, and translating requirements into efficient technical solutions. The low-code engineer develops workflows, forms, and system integrations to improve operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with ICT security and data governance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy applications using low code/no code platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools;
  • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications;
  • Develop automated workflows, forms, and integrations to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency;
  • Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including, but not limited to: Solution Design Document, Configuration & Environment Details, Security & Compliance Documentation, Deployment Guide, Maintenance & Support Guide, User Guide, Training Material, and Testing & Validation Report.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality applications that meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with client’s ICT security and data governance policies.
  • Monitor and maintain deployed solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of experience in application development, with a strong focus on low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Configure and administer low-code platforms, managing workflows, rules engines, process logic, data validation, and UI components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications in low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform).
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Familiar with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in Git and experienced in agile methodologies (Scrum, TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration).
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), databases (SQL, NoSQL), and API integrations with enterprise systems.
