About the Network Security Engineer role

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer (L2 Support) to support and maintain cloud-based network security services. The role involves incident resolution, infrastructure changes, and ensuring stable and secure network operations across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 (L2) support for cloud-based network security services, including firewalls, web proxies, load balancers, and DNS
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incident and problem tickets within defined service levels
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure service availability and performance
  • Implement and manage changes to network security infrastructure following established change management processes
  • Ensure all changes are properly documented and handed over to operations teams
  • Enforce security and network standards across all implemented solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Telecommunications, Networking, or Network Security
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IPSec VPN, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS
  • Experience with public cloud networking, preferably in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and cloud proxy solutions
  • Hands-on experience or strong understanding of at least one:
    • Fortinet Firewalls
    • F5 BIG-IP (Load Balancer)
    • IPSec VPN
    • Web Proxy technologies
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English)
  • Timely resolution of incident and service tickets
  • Successful implementation of infrastructure changes
  • Effective handling of user/customer queries
  • Compliance with SLA and operational standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL knowledge (incident/change management)
  • Certifications (e.g., Azure, Fortinet, CCNA Security)
