About the Project Manager (Data Operations) role

The Project Manager oversees data programme delivery by coordinating workstreams, tracking milestones, managing risks, and ensuring timely dataset onboarding and user access. The role includes supporting security and compliance activities, driving process improvements, managing vendors, maintaining documentation, and ensuring clear communication across teams to meet programme goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run regular cadences and progress reviews to track milestones, surface risks, and ensure accountability across workstreams
  • Collaborate with Clients divisions and external agencies to monitor dataset onboarding, integration, and delivery timelines
  • Manage and fulfil security and compliance requirements of our systems (e.g. System Security Plan, VAPT, IT Audit)
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure data products user onboarding and access provisioning are completed within stipulated SLAs
  • Plan and support key meetings to drive data programme outcomes
  • Identify and implement process improvements to automate tracking, simplify reporting, and standardise workflows
  • Track programme metrics and delivery KPIs (e.g. dataset onboarding rate, automation coverage, adoption levels) to monitor progress against goals and support leadership reporting
  • Oversee vendor management activities including contract tracking, deliverable validation, and performance monitoring to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Maintain project documentation, decision logs, and deliverables for governance and audit compliance

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in project or programme management, preferably in the public sector, data, or technology domains
  • Proficient in Agile delivery methods, and familiar with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Experience working with security and compliance processes (e.g. VAPT, System Security Plan) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with data or analytics platforms (e.g. AWS Redshift, SageMaker, Tableau) is a plus
  • Able to work independently and manage delivery across a hybrid (onsite/offsite) environment
