About the SAP BRIM Consultant role
The SAP BRIM Consultant provides functional expertise across SAP BRIM modules including SOM, CI, CC, and FI-CA. The role manages billing and invoicing processes, configures master and transactional data, and supports end-to-end solution delivery within SAP S/4HANA environments. Working closely with ABAP and functional teams, the consultant translates business requirements into scalable solutions while supporting troubleshooting and integration activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end functional expertise in SAP BRIM, with strong understanding of integration between:
- SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM)
- SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
- SAP Convergent Charging (CC)
- SAP Contract Accounting (FI-CA)
- Manage and support Billing and Invoicing processes within SAP BRIM.
- Configure and maintain SAP SOM and SAP CI modules.
- Handle SAP BRIM Master Data including:
- Business Partner
- Contract Account
- Subscription Contract
- Manage SAP Convergent Invoicing transactional data including:
- Consumption Items
- Billable Items
- Billing Documents
- Invoicing Documents
- Propose and design effective solution architectures based on business requirements
- Collaborate closely with ABAP Developers and Functional Consultants to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Provide advisory input and work independently with minimal supervision
- Support troubleshooting and debugging activities when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP BRIM, particularly in SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) and SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
- Strong understanding of SAP BRIM billing and invoicing processes
- Strong knowledge of SAP BRIM master data and transactional data structures
- Good understanding of SAP FI-CA posting (advantage)
- Experience working in DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, or cloud deployment processes, is an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of ABAP concepts, debugging techniques, and ABAP development
- Knowledge of SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Technical Skills: Primary skill area in COTS with expert proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, and secondary skill area in COTS with advanced proficiency in SAP ERP
